DIY: How to Make a Watch Necklace

Watch This – I spotted these girls on Abbot Kinney right before the street’s monthly First Friday food event and dug their indie spirit. I didn’t notice her watch necklace on the right until after I snapped them. I thought it was clever and she said it was simply a broken watch she decided to string on a chain. Voilà, a potential trend is born. [Click the watch to supersize it].

I found a few other inspired watch pendants herehere and here – plus, I’m a fan of Marc Jacobs’ affordable and colorful watch necklaces embedded in apples, hearts and baubles. Cool girls and I liked the double denim. More fun Venice people I met over the weekend will be sprinkled in over the next week, including more indie spirits, fitted plaids, best of bags and an actress who nailed boho chic.
