Blonde + Beige - I met Marissa in the West Village with her friend Jade who you’ll be meeting in a separate post. As I was shooting a close-up of her handbag, I caught her making this pensive face (above) and just had to jump up and get the shot. She’s wearing a Club Monaco sweater, Scoop NYC scarf, Rag & Bone Keaton sunglasses + jeans, with a Proenza Schouler PS1 Pouch in smoke and Isabel Marant boots, out of frame.

Marissa finished at Stella Adler (acting school) and just filmed a short. She also claims, “I’m learning to read Tarot and painting my friends’ portraits (very badly).”  I quizzed the British blonde about her fashion favorites, shared below.

• I am obsessed by Stevie Nicks, capes and beige sweaters.
• I like old clothes that have a story and have lived an interesting life.
• My shopping secret is my mother. She buys me better stuff without me even being there to try it on. She just bought me an Ohne Titel dress for my birthday (and it kinda has a cape attached!) I’m in love with it.
