Future Trend? – I spotted Rachel Zoe after the DVF show and noticed something interesting in all my shots. Her top and bottom lipstick are different shades. See? The top is slightly darker. Clever.

I’ve lived in LA for a while now and warm coats are still a novelty, so I can’t get over the vast array of coats in NYC. I loved Sara’s color blocked Admiral coat by Rag & Bone and you can’t go wrong with her Proenza Schouler bag. She’s also wearing fun J Brand red denim and you can catch her full look over on Racked NY. [Ok, and if you think she looks familiar, she is. I just realized this is actress Sara Paxton].

I spotted actress Kelly Lynch and husband Mitch Glazer on a Sunday stroll yesterday in SoHo yesterday. (I’m not sure what I was thinking not including him as well, because Vanity Fair once named them one of the best dressed couples.)
She seemed surprised that anyone would even want to take a style shot and offered an embarrassed, “Are you kidding me?” Before my query could fully register, her husband was quick to step aside for the shot and beamed, “Isn’t she beautiful?”

Kind of random that I ended up spotting Anna Wintour in Greenwich Village yesterday, as I was running all over NYC on assignment. I suppose now’s a good time to mention that I’ll be shooting streetstyle for Racked NY for a month! I’m excited and didn’t want to be lazy yesterday by shooting everyone in SoHo, so I popped up in Central Park, Union Square, the West Village and Washington Square Park. I’m not sure which pix will make the cut, but I met some lovely and stylish strangers, some of which you’ll also be meeting here soon. In the meantime, I’ve been neglecting my Los Angeles friends and photos and will be showing the left coast some love this week.

Mustard – Moments after Patrick McDonald mentioned mustard, I spotted Kelly Osbourne after Chris Benz’s show and found these two fully committed to the not-so-mellow yellow. I got to interview Kelly on Teen Vogue’s past red carpet and she’s extremely gracious and very on top of her fashion.

You can keep your Birkin bags and give me the Constance Mini bag instead, available in so many colorful varieties. More bold color commitments from NYFW to come.

Textured – I spotted actor Justin Chatwin on his way to a coffee shop and our conversation surprised me a bit. He’s refreshingly grounded and incredibly intuitive. He plays Steve on Showtime’s Shameless, the only drama series (besides LOST) that I’ve raced home to watch in real time. It’s a genius show with seemingly farcical plot lines that actually pass as plausible – and can make me laugh and cry in the same moment. Not only is Justin’s character one of the best reasons to watch, but we’ll get the dirt behind his double life when the show is back in January. Beyond Shameless, I think Justin is one to watch and hope he lands some feature roles that’ll match his mettle.

Rosario Dawson rocked the block last night when her G-Star x Kitson Studio event overtook Robertson Blvd with Women’s Night. The two brands collaborated on a six piece capsule collection, soon to be going going gone. I stopped by the party for a little LA StyleSpotting session on Kitson’s patio and found a few little visual treasures. I have to say that Rosario has the kindest eyes and warmest smile in person. [Above, Rosario is in the middle with violinist Caitlin Moe and DJ Mia Moretti. More pix after the jump.] As I tend to do, I’ve hidden some Easter eggs for you behind some of the photos.
Romi and Jay. (I was obsessed with The Real L Word star’s cache of jewelry). [CLICK for more party pix]
