Broadway Bound – I was seeing splashes of red accessories in New York and thought her Nike Wedge Sneakers were pretty cool and more practical for those who can’t spring for the Isabel Marant kicks that this model was wearing. What do you think is trending at Scoop?

She looked cool with the sleek rain boots and thought the color pop on top was a nice touch. In contrast, women uptown were doing furry black coats with expensive red bags I’ll show you next week…

Easy on the Eyes – I loved spotting Lina around during fashion week, seen above before Derek Lam’s show. It’s always a mixture of patterns, colors and textures and any pattern play just seems to work, much like the woman below I spotted in Tokyo. It’s ironic that she’s wearing a clashing floral combo, Lina’s wearing a clashing stripe combo and they’re each sporting a make-up statement. I’d kill to play in their closets! Do you want to see who Lina was there to shoot? Stay tuned, but here’s a spoiler alert.

Lean and Mean – I spotted these two a couple days apart, both in smart patchwork denim, flattering on their long legs. I love how the woman above has fancy shoes and just throws on a unadorned gray sweatshirt. For someone heading to a fashion show, it’s not fussy. [The jeans are the AG's 7 Year Patchwork Cigarette Jean]. Look, even her shadow is cute.

I spotted the first woman in midtown and you can see the New York Public Library in the backdrop, where I spotted Sofie and Petra for Racked NY last year. The second shot is Lincoln Center.

Casual Corner – I spotted Miljana, model Mina Cvetkovic and Ethan yesterday on one of my favorite corners for style spotting in the West Village. I loved their spirit as I spotted them laughing and looking stylish in their nice variety of black cropped jackets. I spotted Mina’s Isabel Marant Bekett sneaker wedges a mile away and still want a pair, but they’re so much more appealing on women with her height (i.e. models). Thanks for stopping for a fun style shot and hope to see you guys around…

Oh and this shot made the New York Times Fashion Section today.
This week: More Big in Japan, New York Fashion Week Faves with some videos — and I just ran into a favorite Fashion Editor / blogger in the West Village.
P.S. If you like Isabel Marant, check out her latest clothing collection at Barneys.

I spotted the cutest hat and leopard boots in Harajuku, which leads well into her accessories below…
I loved this shopping area, which included Chanel and Maison Martin Margiela. I bought a couple cheap cups at Comme des Garçons, surprisingly ($15 total). It was raining outside and they even gave my bag a little raincoat! I was bummed when I had to break it all apart for my suitcase. I already miss Tokyo so much.

I spotted these fashionable friends in double denim and leopard accents as I was walking to my favorite noodle restaurant just around the corner. I could’ve sworn the girl on the right looked familiar and I think I had spotted her the week before in a Campbell’s Soup dress in Shibuya. Was that you? If you say hai, then “It’s a small world” as we say here.

Did you know kitson had a store in Tokyo? It’s not listed on their website.

She was also wearing a surgical mask, which was quite common there.
So… I was finishing lunch with a new Japanese friend and was in the middle of slurping noodles when I spotted a guy with a DIY jacket. I grabbed my camera and literally gave chase (and think you’ll understand why). Luckily, he had stopped at a nearby restaurant, so I caught up with him — and you’ll meet him soon! Just a couple more Tokyo posts and it’s back to some fun NYC finds.
BTW, remember shoegazing these shoes? Or these wedges?

Tattoo U — Tattoo tights are worn by a wide range of women in Tokyo, from schoolgirls to high fashion. I spotted her in front of Shel’tter, which had to be one of my favorite stores in the area, except for Pass the Baton, for upcycled pieces that rocked my orbit.
If you’re into the tights, here are some cute options on etsy. Perhaps you desire pop art knees or damn, these are super sultry for leggings and tattoo tights rolled into one. Done.

All About the Edges – I spotted Violaine Bernard and Indigo Clarke going into Milk Studios during Fashion Week and wanted to show you the round lens sunglasses that are trending here, plus the soft, feminine edges still infiltrating the city. More than that, you’ve got to love how Violaine aced this look by pairing her sweatshirt with frilly shorts. #clever

I found a few cute sweatshirt vibes to juxtapose with flair wear:

Pattern Behavior – The variety of printed fabrics had to be my favorite part of Fashion Week this time around. I spotted these women heading into Milk Studios and fell for each of their bold print vibes. I love the three tiered trick on the left (Glamour Mag’s Rajni Lucienne Jacques) and recognized the pants on the right from Asos, mentioned by Sydney in a previous post here. The pleated print in the middle and below is heavenly, don’t you think?
More patterned prints coming up next from an iconic designer, an inventive Brit and a pretty incredible vintage find from a gallery girl.

A nice bonus that the sunglasses complement the dress theme. @
