Be Mine - I actually spotted Jenny months ago on Robertson and died for this look. I was on the run and couldn’t ask for details, but I’m almost sure she got this Wildfox Couture sweatshirt from Kitson back then. It looks so freakin cozy and now I really want one. (Oh and uh, the Chanel bag’s not too shabby either). Happy Valentine’s Day and feel free to pass this image along to your fashionable friends. <3
I briefly abandoned my friends on Sunday to wander the annual Abbot Kinney Street Fest, not quite sure what I’d find while walking up the center of the street swinging my head like a pendulum, left to right, left to right until I found myself drawn to a common theme. Luxury Labels.
I blanked on this bag (above, right) and she answered, “It’s only Marc Jacobs” almost apologetically. As if her $600 bag didn’t rate next to a classic CHANEL. (We tend to forget that people outside our bubble don’t spend small fortunes on leather goods).
Wow, *loved* her little look with the belted shorts {click the pic}. That’s a shirt tied to her handbag, btw.
To answer your question, it’s an emphatic no. Your Balenciaga will never be out of style, your jewelry was amazing and understated and the LV shades, a perfect style staple.
Weekend Wandering – It’s my first real weekend since I’ve been back from Miami and I’m hoping to catch up with a lot of friends, brunch like crazy and return all the stuff from Miami that I was too lazy to try on in the store. One good Miami shopping trek was stocking up on the summer clothes I’ve been putting off over the years. So many great basics on the shelves: simple Levi’s studded jean shorts, Helmut Lang asymmetrical shirt from Barneys, these incredibly cool & comfy Current/Elliot khakis, Joie white T and Vince striped boatneck. I’m mad about these Jimmy Choo python espadrilles but couldn’t stop and try them on just yet. Yet. I haven’t had a mani-pedi in a month (egads!), so first things first and I might have to try this color. Have a fun weekend.
Chanel TV – Yesterday, I did a quick circle of Robertson after a late lunch at The Newsroom. I always breeze past the Chanel store, but this time the hypnotic video wall sucked me in. (The wall might not have literally spoken to me, but something about the experience hinted of Minority Report).
