Summer LBD’s – As promised here, I’m back with more black! Don’t you love Emily’s super sexy asymmetrical silk dress? I spotted her on my recent and rare day off, gliding down Prince Street in Nolita. I am such a sucker for asymmetrical anything and just bought this Kaylee Tankus dress at Oak’s Warehouse Sale. Score! Emily picked up her dress in Australia and I couldn’t find the brand online or you know I’d share.
I also spotted Nadia in Nolita and think you’ll appreciate her little fetish, so look to meet her soon. In fun news, I’ve been running around the city producing a docuseries for Oxygen and will be sure to plug it when it airs (wink).

Slim Shady – I’ve spotted Tara Devon Gallagher a few times in Nolita, am mesmerized by her hair and especially adored her 70′s boho vibe outside Tacombi on Elizabeth Street. She was just laughing with a group of friends on the sidewalk right before I snapped this. This actress and artist is really into vintage and thrift and says she’s drawn to icons who tend to influence both her style and art – and gets specific below:
Lately I’ve been really into the Lolita character as well as vintage 1950′s exotic pinups, like Havana girls from Cuba or even Mexico since I love my job and Mexican culture. There is always an undertone of 1970′s influence in my wardrobe because that’s one of my favorite decades. A strange concoction of icons to say the least, but somehow in my world, they all come together!

Say hello if you see Tara around Nolita! If you love her heart shaped shades (trending in NYC), here’s a similar aviator pair and a cute red Lolita version from Fred Flare, both under $20.

Shoe Shock – My eyes literally glazed over when I spotted Christie and her Opening Ceremony x Rodarte (sold out) tapestry boots, seemingly taunting me from a Nolita sidewalk. She’s also wearing a VPL skirt, Alexander Wang’s Rocco Duffle Bag and sunglasses from Buffalo Exchange. When in doubt, you just can’t go wrong with a pair of OC statement shoes. Curious to know more about Christie? I was – and talked her into sharing her NYC hit list below…

Christie’s NYC Hit List for Fashion + Food
I live in Brooklyn, but spend most of my walking hours in Soho for both work and play. So it seems only natural that most of my favorite things are around and about here. For shopping, Creatures of Comfort, Henrik Vibskov, kiosk, JF & Son and VPL are at the top of my list. Since summer hit, all I want to wear are dresses – and Creatures has an extraordinary selection.
As for restaurants… Diner in Williamsburg is the best for brunch, and for dinner, Lovely Day and Fonda Nolita never disappoint. I’m also a big time pastry enthusiast! Favorites include: Babycakes, Bakeri and Birdbath. Who can so no to a maple bacon scone?

Men *do* make passes at girls who wear glasses – I was sitting next to Laksmi in Nolita when a guy walked by and checked her out. Twice. So, it’s true! She’s a style blogger and her artist beau bought her these 3.1 Phillip Lim Chloris Eyeglasses. Turns out she’s a power shopper, so I got her Hit List of 5 Favorite Local Shops and 3 Online Faves [continued after the jump].

Condor on Elizabeth – Somewhat of new addition to the neighborhood and carries an assortment of local and global designers. The owner Loriann is a complete doll and has amazing style!
Jay Kos on Mott – Menswear and accessories – This boutique is like a treasure trove. I actually shop here for jewelry (Johnny Depp wears his rings too!)
Also, his patrons are so interesting and it reminds of [Click for her full list]

Gasp – I spotted IMG model Montana Cox in Nolita over the weekend, looking stunning in this shredded, skeleton back T shirt and faded cut-offs. It’s a stellar shirt, but you want to know what really killed me? The cinematic lipstick and tousled bedhead, punctuated by the, er, sexy sideboob.
Montana also just won Australia’s Next Top Model less than a year ago and divides her time between New York and Paris enough to hesitate when I asked which she called home. She tipped her hat toward Paris, but it sounds like she could soon be in a New York state of mind. I think we’ll be seeing a lot more of Montana, so keep an eye out for this one.

Model Mondays – I’ve managed to run models each Monday since early March and I actually have enough faces to show you through at least June. Thanks for lovely looks, Montana. [tweet | tweet]

Shop and Drop – I spotted Alexander and Deepika on a shopping break in Nolita and was curious what they bought. Deepika emailed, “I bought an amazing little jersey black low back draped dress / OAK brand (and got a million random compliments on it the next day ha) and Alexander bought a pair of Florsheim shoes from Odin.”

They’re on Prince Street in front of INA (and INA MEN), one of my favorite NYC consignment faves when I’m looking for higher end pieces for work. (There’s a gigantic Tiffany Elsa Peretti heart necklace there that I can’t stop eyeballing + some killer shoes.)
