Bonjour, Les Pommettes!

Au Revoir, Vionnet …

Vionnet Boutique Guest Book

(I adored their collaged guest book – above – during a past visit. The former manager and I both have a collage addiction and have lost hours on polyvore).

… et Bonjour, Les Pommettes!

Beautiful Hand Painted Wallpaper Two

What’s in a Name? Vionnet Boutique on trendy Robertson Blvd hasn’t changed owners (still Delia Seaman), but it has changed to a cheekier name (les pommettes refers to cheekbones). It’s still the go-to for a vast array of costume jewelry in my book. The only thing that seems to have changed in this Parisian flavored boutique is the cache of suspended necklaces that usually greet me (witnessed below from a past trip) are now dispersed around the store. Still a win/win, but I do miss the sea of swinging textures a bit (although that didn’t stop me from indulging in a handmade Pepita necklace that was on sale). Check out their sale and my 2 favorite steals: Lutz & Patmos Boucle Dolman sleeve sweater, Vera Wang Deep V-Neck Wool Tunic + see What’s New.

Costume Jewelry at Les Pommettes (formerly Vionnet Boutique)

Find Les Pommettes on facebook et twitter or at 158 N.Robertson Blvd in Los Angeles, CA 90048 or call 310.289.9202. Who knows, maybe you’ll run into a celeb or two on your way up Robertson.

Turkey Day in LA

Vionnet Bracelets 530

Thankful – I’m spending Thanksgiving with a few fun friends this year. The funny thing is, I just found out the host (friend of a few years) lives literally one block from me (!) so I’ll be walking over with a cheese plate, pecan pie and movie popcorn for a 3-D fest. Quite different from last year when I treated mom to Paradise Cove in Malibu, this beachside restaurant serving full-course turkey dinners. Cheesy, I know, but thought she would appreciate the view, (but the swimsuit-clad couples sipping cocktails while digging their toes in the sand was lost on her). I tried! If you’re in LA looking for some fun restaurants open on Thanksgiving, I’ve listed some options after the jump.

Happy Thanksgiving and look for some select Black Friday deals posted by tomorrow morning. (The awesome bracelets are from Vionnet Boutique, unrelated to Thanksgiving but I wasn’t so inspired by generic turkey shots). Click here for LA restaurants open for Thanksgiving today.

Affliction: Beads, Bags and Baubles

Vionnet

Fair Warning - For those keeping track of Vionnet Boutique’s Jewelry & Accessories Trunk Show that I posted here, this event ends tomorrow. Anyone who knows me is well aware of my obsession with all of the above, but it’s served me well. It drove me to launch a jewelry company during college years and I later ran an LA designer’s handbag line and it’s forever in my blood. Here, I was experimenting with a friend’s 16-35 mm macro lens (thanks, Dom!) and I wasn’t kidding when I said Vionnet had amassed a huge collection for their trunk show. That’s Sabrina in the background. She’s the ever stylish and uber creative store manager with the rare skill of creating a fun shopping experience. I’ll show you what I scored in an upcoming post…

Trunk Show at Vionnet Boutique

by Jerri Howell on Thursday, July 22, 2010

in Jewelry,Robertson Blvd

No Junk in this Trunk – Visit Vionnet Boutique for their Jewelry & Accessories Trunk Show, featuring pieces from around the world thru July 29. They’re well known for their vast collection as well as range of jewelry. I tend to love  their selection of cuffs and anything by Decolette, owner Delia Seaman’s label. You can shop at their Robertson Store or online. I’m curious about your taste, so please share some links of your favorite jewelry, any style, designer or store. || Vionnet Boutique – 158 North Robertson Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90048 || (310) 289.9202

Style on a Shoestring: Lisa from Norway

by Jerri Howell on Thursday, July 8, 2010

in Los Angeles,Robertson Blvd,StreetStyle

Lisa.gif.2.2

Lisa.gif.1.2.2CROP I had such a fun time stopping on Robertson Blvd yesterday. Always such a wide array of style, from couture to magazine to indie to street and it rarely disappoints. I spotted Lisa, who’s visiting from Norway, weaving in and out shops with her friends and snapped her as she was leaving Starbucks. I loved the strung out shirt that could pass for indie, yet it’s from Urban Outfitters and she picked up the owl earrings at a vintage shop in San Francisco. After the shots, Lisa was off to track down shoes that are sold out everywhere else and I street-spotted a lace-up shoe at nearly $1,000 and a stylish guy giving orders. Literally. Stay tuned and safe travels, Norwegians.

Lisa vertical no shadowBummer, the car behind her got a ticket. Lisa’s standing in front of Vionnet Boutique and Curve and here’s the streetstyle shot with us both laughing (it can be embarrassing being snapped on the street, okaaaay)! Great sales right now on Robertson. Click here or visit the next post. Lisa, feel free to email me for all the other fun images!

Shop Vionnet Boutique’s Summer Sale

by Jerri Howell on Wednesday, June 23, 2010

in Robertson Blvd

Vionnet Boutique Sale

Summer Sale – Vionnet Boutique is one of my favorite shops on Robertson and they’re having a sale even non-Angelenos can enjoy. Use the voucher in their boutique or discount code above in their revamped online store. They’re well known for their Clu selection and this tulle tank is my newest fave. Check out their Vera Wang pieces, neat Pepita necklaces (just spotted fun fabric embellished pieces in their store) or click their Look Book for ideas, sampled below. Their jewelry collection simply kills. If you see Sabrina, let her know StyleSpotting.com sent you — and keep your eyes peeled for news of their July Jewelry event. || Vionnet Boutique – 158 North Robertson Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90048

BTW, Vionnet Boutique is the first store I pass in this previous video around Valentine’s Day (hence the cup) — and I was obsessed with that outfit for the longest time (and the cup)… Click here for a peek at their Look Book
